1 - How much does a wedding film cost?
Probably the most asked question I get. And for good reason. Weddings can get expensive. I’m the father of three amazing daughters and have gone through two weddings so I have a little “street cred” when it comes to wedding budgets.
This will also be the longest answer out of all the FAQ’s so get ready!
I know… “just tell me how much it costs”! I will tell you exactly how much it costs but let me first tell you that I’m not the least expensive and I’m not the most expensive so if you are just looking for the “cheapest”, then I’m not your guy. But I think you will be surprised.
If you’re still reading (thank you) I’m going to assume you are much more interested in a wedding film that is unique to you and one that will evoke all those emotions and memories of that very special day and continue to do so every time you watch it. With that in mind, it’s important for you to understand that the greatest benefit and the greatest joy you will experience in having a wedding film will not be for years to come. Of course you will be excited once your film is complete and you watch it for the first time. If you or someone doesn't cry or bust a rib laughing then please let me know where I went wrong. But as your years together grow and life brings all the amazing changes that it does, being able to go back in time and not only see how everyone looked, but to be able to hear their voices and see their mannerisms is priceless. Watch them walk, talk, laugh and maybe even cry. Imagine for a moment, one day your children will be able to be guests at your wedding. Let that sink in! This is something that photographs alone can not do.
Disclaimer: I’m not advocating against photos! Get lots of photos and have a professional take them!
It is my purpose to capture and present to you the story of this single and very special day of your life. And in doing so hopefully create an heirloom that will last your entire lifetime and beyond. Pricing
2 - What is your style?
Timeless and Romantic. Not trendy.
3 - Is there a deposit required?
Yes. A non-refundable retainer is required and is due at the signing of the agreement.
4 - Do you offer payment plans?
No. However, the balance minus the retainer isn't due until two weeks before the wedding.
5 - What is your cancelation policy?
As stated above the retainer is non-refundable but can be applied to a later date provided 1) the date is available and 2) the new date is within 12 months from the original date.
If the balance has been paid and the wedding is cancelled before two weeks of the wedding, then a full refund minus the retainer will be given. If the balance has been paid and the wedding is cancelled within two weeks before the wedding no refunds can be given.
6 - Do you offer any discounts?
I offer a $100 discount on any film or package to bride or groom who are current military, military veterans or first-responders.
7 - What kind of wedding films do you provide?
I provide two types of films. A Highlight Film which is 4 to 6 minutes in length and a Short Feature Film which is 10 to 15 minutes in length.

8 - Do you provide photography services as well?
I do not. And I caution you against purchasing a “video” add-on.
I am singularly focused on telling the story of this day through video and audio and not just creating a video version of your photographs.
I can however recommend some amazing photographers.
9 - Can we choose our own music for our film?
Not typically. I use only licensed music from licensing sources.
Recording artists and record companies own the rights to their song/music and it is against US copyright laws to use their material in your wedding film without their permission. That being said, if there is a song you just have to have in your film, I can see if it is available to license. Be warned, costs for licensing a single song can get into the thousands, tens of thousand and even hundreds of thousand of dollars.
My music selections are based on my time getting to know and watching you two throughout the day.
10 - How many hours of coverage do you provide?
Here is where I differ from other wedding film makers. My approach is not based on how many hours you buy but of telling your story of the beginning of your lives together.
My day begins while everyone is still getting ready. More specifically, I will arrive while you, the bride, is still in makeup and close to being finished and I don’t leave until you two drive away.
11 - Do you provide coverage of more than just your two films?
Yes! I have created packages that will include the Highlight Film or the Short Feature Film or Both along with your entire Ceremony from start to finish as well as your Reception Highlights such as your grand entrance, first dance, speeches, cake cutting, garter and bouquet toss along with lots of dancing and your big exit.

12 - Do you provide drone/aerial coverage?
Yes. I am a commercially licensed drone pilot and all my films have aerial coverage provided there are no FAA flight restrictions and weather permitting.
13 - How long does it take to receive our film?
3 to 4 months.
14 - Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured.
15 - Do you provide any custom or special coverage?
Let’s talk about it!
16 - How long have you been filming weddings?
I spent more than 20 years in broadcast radio and television and most recently as director of photography for comedian Tim Hawkins, producing and directing his concert films, music videos and content for his social media channels before moving into wedding films full-time. In 2009 I filmed my first wedding and have been in love ever since.
17 - What should I look for in a WEDDING/VIDEOGRAPER?
When hiring a videographer/cinematographer for your special day, there are many different aspects to consider. Here are just a few.
First, make sure you like their style. I think this goes without saying but look at examples of their work.
What are people saying about this videographer and their work?
Make sure you understand what the delivery turn-around time is for your films. This should be specific and spelled out in the agreement.
Do they work well with others? All of your vendors should work as a team. There is no room for “prima donnas” on your big day.
18 - Texas or OU?
Neither! Oklahoma State! GO POKES!
